Angkor Resources Corp. Completes Phase One of Cambodian Drilling Program

GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALBERTA — August 19, 2026 — Leads & Copy — ANGKOR RESOURCES CORP. (TSXV: ANK OTCQB: ANKOF) announced that a total of 2,800 meters of diamond drilling has been planned for the Andong Bor copper-gold target in Cambodia. The first 1,099 meters of this program were completed in mid-July on the Thmei North (“TN”) target, which is a one-square-kilometer copper anomaly.

The drilling program was organized around the Cambodian seasons. An initial portion of the program was completed in three holes, and the remainder is slated to follow in early 2027 when the fields are dry and crops have been harvested. This scheduling aims to minimize crop damage and facilitate access to the targets.

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration for ANGKOR RESOURCES CORP., commented on the initial phase. "Two of the three holes drilled this year encountered good porphyry and skarn mineralization over the 400 meters each was drilled. Portions of skarn were especially well mineralized. The third hole contained a run of over 200 meters with continuous pyrite mineralization up to 20%," Ouellette stated.

The completed phase one of the drilling program involved 1,099 meters, with the remaining 1,700 meters scheduled for the second phase in early 2027. The initial three holes were drilled to the east to effectively intersect the mineralized beds, and subsequent holes in phase two will follow the same orientation.

Core samples from the drilling will be logged, photographed, and sampled. Selected intervals will be dispatched for assay as the program progresses. The core from the 1,099 meters already drilled is currently being logged, with cutting, sampling, and assaying to follow in the coming weeks. The second phase of the Thmei North drill program, along with activity on Thmei South, is expected to continue into 2027.

The Andong Bor license spans 100.28 square kilometers across Oddar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey provinces. Previous drilling in 2025 indicated that the primary structures controlling mineralization are north-northwest (NNW) striking and steeply west dipping. This geological understanding informs the decision to drill the Thmei North holes to the east to better intersect the mineralized beds.

Within this modified copper porphyry model, the most significant mineralization is found in potassic-altered sediments adjacent to feldspar porphyry diorite dikes of varying widths. By drilling eastward, the Company aims to maximize mineralized sedimentary rock interceptions as drilling traverses alternating lithologies of intrusive and sedimentary rocks.

ANGKOR Resources Corp. is a public company listed on the TSX-Venture Exchange, focused on resource exploration and development in Cambodia. The Company’s mineral subsidiary, Angkor Gold Corp. Co., Ltd., holds two mineral exploration licenses in Cambodia with multiple prospects in copper and gold. ANGKOR’s Cambodian energy subsidiary, EnerCam Resources Co., Ltd., holds an onshore oil and gas license in the southwest quadrant of Cambodia called Block VIII. EnerCam is advancing oil and gas exploration activities to establish Cambodia as a nation with its own oil and gas resources. The company completed 2D-seismic in 2025, identified multiple drill targets, and plans to drill Cambodia’s first privately financed onshore exploratory oil and gas wells under a Production Sharing Contract.
