Alex Metals Completes Extensive 2026 Field Program in Southeast Alaska, Awaits Initial Results

Vancouver, BC – October 8, 2026 – Leads & Copy – Alex Metals provided an update on its extensive 2026 field program, which involved over 6,000 metres of drilling across four targets on two projects, alongside comprehensive mapping, sampling, and geophysical surveys spanning all three of its portfolio projects in Southeast Alaska. The company announced it is poised to release initial results from this significant, discovery-driven field season.

The Vancouver-based company, which recently began trading on the Toronto Venture Exchange approximately ten days prior to the announcement, holds three accessible properties in coastal Southeast Alaska: the Wodski Project, the Frenchie Project, and the KSO Project. CEO Gwen Preston stated that the company was founded with the specific aim of discovering a new silver-gold-rich volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposit in Southeast Alaska, an area she described as having exceptional VMS potential but surprisingly little exploration.

Alex Metals' Wodski and Frenchie projects are situated within the Alexander Triassic Belt, an area known for world-class VMS deposits such as the 42 million tonne Greens Creek and the 297 million tonne Windy Craggy deposits. The KSO Project is located in Proterozoic-age rocks that host numerous historical VMS mines from the early 1900s.

Preston highlighted that VMS deposits typically contain a polymetallic mix of base and precious metals, including silver, zinc, gold, lead, and copper, offering investors diversification within a single deposit. She emphasized the team's deep VMS expertise and extensive experience operating in coastal Alaska as key assets in exploring these prospective properties.

The company's 2026 exploration efforts included drilling 3,058 metres on three targets at the KSO Project, along with surface and downhole EM geophysical surveys, a UAV drone magnetic and photogrammetry survey, geological mapping, and soil and rock sampling. Alex Metals also expanded the KSO property by 148%, acquiring 577 hectares covering five new regional VMS prospects within a 35-km radius.

At the Wodski Project, 3,138 metres of drilling were completed at the Mad Dog prospect, marking the first follow-up drilling at the site since a previous operator's 2004 drill discovery. Intercepts from that earlier program reported grades ranging from 112 to 565 g/t silver, 8 to 22% zinc, and 0.5 to 5% lead over intervals of 1.7 to 17.7 metres. The 2026 program also included a UAV drone magnetic and photogrammetry survey, mapping, and prospecting.

The Frenchie Project saw its first field season with the company, focusing on mapping, sampling, a LIDAR survey, a ground gravity survey, and an IP test grid to advance the project towards a drilling decision. Preliminary mapping indicates that the stratigraphy dips dominantly to the northwest, and chip samples from 2025 returned strong gold-zinc grades, including 2.9 g/t Au and 3.0% Zn over 1.5 metres.

Preston expressed pride in her team's execution of the first field season across the three new projects and excitement for the upcoming results. Initial assay results from all drill holes are expected soon.
