The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property is situated approximately 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) northeast of Hixon in central British Columbia. The property contains the Quesnelle Quartz gold-silver deposit, discovered in 1865 and historically developed. This deposit is located at the Main zone, spanning about 150 meters by 150 meters, and crosses Hixon Creek. The property is adjacent to the Cariboo Gold Project, owned by Osisko Gold Group, and lies within a corridor associated with the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults. Golden Cariboo's land holdings cover approximately 96,183 hectares (237,673 acres).
The geological setting of gold mineralization on the Property exhibits notable similarities to the Spanish Mountain gold deposit, approximately 120 kilometers to the southeast along the same geological trend. As a sediment-hosted vein (SHV) deposit, the Spanish Mountain deposit is classified within the epizonal orogenic subclass of gold deposits. However, similarity in geological setting does not guarantee a comparable size or grade of mineral resource or reserve, and no economic comparison is intended.
Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. is focused on the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property, a 96,183-hectare area bordering Osisko Gold Group and situated along a corridor adjacent to the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults. Historically, over 101 placer gold creeks have recorded production along a 90-kilometer trend. The Company is undertaking targeted drilling and trenching programs on the property.
