Adaptogenics Health Corp. Acquires Nutritional Research Assets to Bolster GLP-1 Companion Initiative

Vancouver, British Columbia — October 8, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Adaptogenics Health Corp. (CSE: ADPT) has acquired nutritional research assets from Berkwood Research to support a GLP-1 companion initiative aimed at preserving muscle, enhancing metabolic health, and improving functional outcomes for patients undergoing medically induced weight loss. The acquisition was finalized on October 7, 2026.

The acquired assets include four nutritional research compositions along with supporting scientific documentation, which encompasses 36 ingredient evidence reviews, recommended dosages, rationale for product development, and biomarker mapping. Adaptogenics plans to leverage this package to conceptualize an initial GLP-1 companion product, define measurable endpoints, and prioritize formulation, analytical, and testing activities.

These four compositions offer modular starting points for research, focusing on foundational metabolic and muscle support, cardiometabolic and vascular health, neurocognitive and stress support, and recovery and immune health. The underlying research incorporates ingredients such as creatine, urolithin A, specific amino acids, fatty acids, and other evidence-based compounds that are relevant to protein metabolism, mitochondrial function, body composition, inflammation, and physical performance.

Dr. Robert Bergia, PhD, MBA, Founder of Berkwood Research and formerly a leader in protein nutrition research at ADM, will join Adaptogenics as a Scientific Advisor for Metabolic Health and Muscle Preservation. Dr. Bergia earned his PhD in Nutrition Science and Gerontology from Purdue University and has published over two dozen peer-reviewed papers, including research on nutrition during medically induced weight loss. Dr. Bergia was not the vendor of the assets and is not affiliated with the vendor.

“Medical weight loss creates a major need to preserve muscle, strength and function,” stated Dr. J. David Warren, Chief Executive Officer of Adaptogenics. “This acquisition provides us with a practical research foundation for an initial GLP-1 companion program as we concurrently evaluate proprietary peptides and delivery technologies that may address this challenge through distinct therapeutic strategies.”

The transaction involved a total cash consideration of US$27,000, with no further payments anticipated. Initial efforts will concentrate on evaluating the acquired compositions, selecting a lead product concept, and identifying the analytical and functional endpoints necessary for subsequent testing. The effectiveness of these nutritional compositions in supporting patients on GLP-1 therapies has not yet been confirmed.

Adaptogenics also intends to explore peptide candidates and delivery technologies designed for lean mass preservation, muscle function, mitochondrial performance, and metabolic health during medically induced weight loss. These distinct therapeutic programs are separate from the acquired nutritional assets and will undergo independent scientific diligence, intellectual property review, and development planning. As of the release date, the Company has not entered into any letters of intent, term sheets, or definitive agreements for the acquisition or licensing of any peptide assets.

Adaptogenics Health Corp. is a Canadian-based nutraceutical company specializing in the formulation and distribution of functional mushroom products and nutritional supplement alternatives. The company is exploring opportunities to develop a proprietary pipeline of peptide and small molecule therapeutics focused on metabolic health, muscle preservation, and inflammation. Adaptogenics combines asset acquisition and licensing with targeted discovery and delivery research to develop differentiated therapeutic candidates and secure intellectual property. The company also continues its existing nutraceutical business and is assessing complementary GLP-1 companion product opportunities.
