LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. Reports Significant Assay Results from Ishkōday Project Drilling Program

TORONTO, Ontario — August 5, 2026 — Leads & Copy — LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. has announced assay results from the initial three diamond drill holes—LBX26-103, LBX26-104, and LBX26-105—completed as part of its ongoing Phase 1 drilling program at the 100%-owned Ishkōday Gold and Polymetallic Project. The project is situated in the Beardmore-Geraldton Greenstone Belt of Northwestern Ontario.

The results indicate that mineralization continues to grow at Ishkōday. Specifically, mineralization has extended down-plunge at the A-Zone in hole LBX26-104, along strike to the northeast at the newly validated Garvey Zone target in LBX26-103, and southwest along the McLeod Horizon in LBX26-105.

Drilling results from LBX26-104 confirmed gold-zinc-silver-copper mineralization down-plunge of the A-Zone, returning 11.15 meters grading 0.393 g/t Au, 6.06 g/t Ag, 0.18% Cu, and 1.80% Zn. This interval included a higher-grade section of 5.35 meters grading 0.662 g/t Au, 8.88 g/t Ag, 0.23% Cu, and 3.28% Zn, and a further sub-interval of 1.95 meters grading 1.314 g/t Au, 13.43 g/t Ag, 0.41% Cu, and 6.34% Zn. The hole also intersected near-surface polymetallic mineralization from 7.50m to 9.90m, yielding 2.40 meters grading 0.417 g/t Au, 4.28 g/t Ag, 0.09% Cu, and 1.02% Zn.

Hole LBX26-105 intersected gold mineralization, with 2.00 meters grading 1.342 g/t Au, including 1.00 meter grading 2.530 g/t Au. This hole also returned a broad polymetallic interval of 14.90 meters grading 0.125 g/t Au, 4.89 g/t Ag, 0.18% Cu, and 0.67% Zn, which included a sub-interval of 5.50 meters grading 0.267 g/t Au, 8.63 g/t Ag, 0.29% Cu, and 1.06% Zn, and a higher-grade 0.50m interval grading 0.150 g/t Au, 15.60 g/t Ag, 0.33% Cu and 3.49% Zn. Another interval in LBX26-105 returned 0.50m grading 0.111 g/t Au, 13.10 g/t Ag, 0.72% Cu and 3.26% Zn.

The results from LBX26-103 confirm the Garvey Zone geophysical target concept, intersecting hydrothermal quartz-breccia hosted polymetallic mineralization coincident with the target anomaly. The hole returned 3.75 meters grading 0.164 g/t Au and 14.41 g/t Ag, and 2.30 meters grading 0.111 g/t Au and 2.70% Zn, including 1.30 meters grading 0.137 g/t Au, 7.22 g/t Ag and 3.16% Zn.

Cynthia Le Sueur-Aquin, President and CEO of LAURION, stated that these holes are an encouraging start to the 2026 infill program, confirming and extending known mineralization. She noted that LBX26-104 and LBX26-105 have extended the polymetallic footprint of the A-Zone down-plunge, with zinc and silver grades opening up new depth potential. Le Sueur-Aquin added that LBX26-103 validated geophysical targeting at the Garvey Zone, confirming that the IP and resistivity signature defining the A-Zone extends along strike to the northeast.

The results support management's view that the A-Zone has potential for a future mineral resource estimate, extending known mineralization deeper and confirming a new target area along strike. SRK Consulting has completed an independent technical gap analysis, identifying five zones where near-term drilling is expected to prepare the A-Zone for its maiden MRE. The A-Zone contains both a zinc-copper-iron-rich polymetallic system layered with a gold-silver system.
