CHARBONE Announces 2026-2030 Strategic Plan for Global Expansion

April 14, 2026 — Leads & Copy — CHARBONE (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a North American producer and distributor specializing in Ultra High Purity (“UHP”) clean hydrogen and strategic industrial gases, has announced the deployment of its global strategic plan for 2026–2030. This marks a milestone in the company's evolution toward becoming an integrated industrial gas group on an international scale.

Building on a foundation in UHP decarbonized hydrogen, CHARBONE is initiating a structural evolution of its model to expand its position toward UHP gases, specialty gases, and, in North America, UHP industrial atmospheric gases, to strengthen recurring revenues and operational efficiency.

CHARBONE aims to become a “mid-tier premium” player, strategically positioned to be more agile than major corporations and more complementary to regional distributors, with differentiation through quality, metrology, and traceability. The company aims to meet the critical needs of rapidly growing industries, including:

  • Semiconductors and advanced electronics
  • Artificial intelligence and data centers
  • Pharmaceutical and biotechnology
  • Defense and aerospace

These markets require quality, speed of execution, and security of supply.

Growth will be based on a structured hybrid approach:

Pillar A – UHP Specialty (high margins): UHP hydrogen (HyChem UHP™), helium, electronic gases, and specialty gases.

Pillar B – Industrial and Atmospheric Gases (recurrence): Oxygen, nitrogen, argon UHP, CO₂, and industrial mixtures, to build a stable revenue base and optimize logistics.

This combination increases commercial depth, customer loyalty, and financial resilience. Charbone intends to strengthen its presence in the Northeast and Pacific technology corridor of the USA.

CHARBONE’s priority is to continue the development and commissioning of the various phases of the Sorel-Tracy plant, which forms the foundation of its expansion in the North American market. CHARBONE’s plan includes the deployment of 6 to 8 regional hubs in North America and internationally, enabling:

  • Reduced time-to-market
  • Standardization of operations
  • Increased proximity to customers
  • Optimization of logistics costs

This “hub & spoke” model is a key lever to support growth while maintaining capital discipline in anticipation of additional industrial gas production capacity.

CHARBONE plans to accelerate its global development with:

  • Germany: UHP strategic platform in Europe
  • Malaysia: Asian hub for semiconductors and electronics

The expansion will be guided by an “asset-light” approach, focused on partnerships and structuring contracts.

According to Dave Gagnon, President and CEO of CHARBONE, the company is building an integrated platform of high-value industrial gases aligned with the critical needs of future industries, with the ambition to become an international player known for quality, reliability, and speed of execution.

CHARBONE is a developer and producer of Ultra High Purity (UHP) clean hydrogen with an expanding industrial gas distribution platform. Focusing on developing a network of clean hydrogen production plants in North America and certain markets abroad, starting with its flagship project in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, the company’s integrated model reduces risks, improves scalability, and diversifies its revenue streams through partnerships in helium and other specialty gases. CHARBONE is committed to supporting the global transition to a low-carbon economy by providing accessible and decentralized clean hydrogen and specialty gas solutions, while supporting underserved industrial gas customers and accelerating the transition to local clean energy.
