Blue Lagoon Resources Receives 2026 PDAC Sustainability Award
Vancouver, British Columbia — March 5, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Blue Lagoon Resources Inc. has been awarded the 2026 Sustainability Award by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) for its commitment to responsible development and partnership with the Lake Babine Nation at the Dome Mountain Gold and Silver Project in British Columbia.
The award, presented March 3, 2026, at the PDAC Awards Celebration & Nite Cap dinner gala during the annual PDAC Convention in Toronto, recognizes organizations demonstrating leadership in environmental stewardship and community engagement within the mineral exploration and mining sector.
Rana Vig, President & CEO of Blue Lagoon Resources, and Bill Cronk, Chief Geologist and Project Manager, accepted the award. Chief Wilfred Adam and Deputy Chief Bessie West of the Lake Babine Nation attended the ceremony.
“Our partnership with Blue Lagoon Resources is built on respect for our Yintah and a shared commitment to protecting the land while creating meaningful opportunities for our people,” said Chief Wilfred Adam of the Lake Babine Nation.
Vig said that the recognition belongs as much to the Lake Babine Nation as it does to Blue Lagoon’s team. He further commented that the Lake Babine Nation welcomed Blue Lagoon into their territory and shared with them the meaning of Yintah –that the land is sacred and Blue Lagoon’s responsibility is not simply to benefit from it, but to protect it.
Vig also acknowledged the role of Blue Lagoon’s technical leadership, highlighting Bill Cronk’s commitment to the Dome Mountain project.
Established in 1977, the PDAC Awards recognize achievements in the mineral exploration and mining industry worldwide. The Convention brings together more than 27,000 industry professionals from over 125 countries annually.
Blue Lagoon’s Dome Mountain Gold Project recently transitioned into production and continues to demonstrate the Company’s commitment to responsible mining practices, environmental stewardship, and Indigenous partnerships.
Blue Lagoon Resources Inc. is a Canadian-based mining company producing from its 100% owned Dome Mountain Gold Mine near Smithers, British Columbia. In February 2025, Blue Lagoon was granted a full mining permit and has since commenced underground mining operations. Mineralized material from Dome Mountain is processed under a long-term toll milling agreement with Nicola Mining. In H2 2026, the Company plans to reinvest internally generated cash flow into near-mine and regional exploration to further expand its resource base on its extensive property.
With a commitment to sustainability, community, and First Nation engagement, Blue Lagoon’s objective is to be a profitable, cash-flowing gold producer while creating lasting value for shareholders and stakeholders alike.
The Company is not basing its production decision at Dome Mountain on a feasibility study of mineral reserves demonstrating economic and technical viability. The production decision is based on having existing mining infrastructure, past bulk sampling and processing activity, and the established mineral resource. The Company understands that there is increased uncertainty, and consequently a higher risk of failure, when production is undertaken in advance of a feasibility study.
