Western Star Resources Updates U.S. Tungsten Platform and Launches Stocktwits Channel
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — June 24, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) provided an update on its U.S.-focused tungsten platform and introduced Stocktwits as a new communication channel for public company updates.
The company highlighted significant activity across its critical minerals platform, emphasizing its strategy to build a U.S.-focused tungsten operation amid growing demand for the mineral in defense, aerospace, energy, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Recent progress includes the successful closing of an oversubscribed private placement and flow-through financing. Funds from this financing will support exploration, development, working capital, and market awareness initiatives.
The Rowland Tungsten Property in Elko County, Nevada, has seen expansion and advancement, including the completion of Phase 1 exploration and a modern UAV magnetic geophysical survey. The company has also initiated drill-permitting work at Rowland by engaging KC Harvey Environmental, LLC.
Western Star has acquired and outlined an exploration program for the White Star Tungsten Project, which is adjacent to Rowland. This acquisition creates a broader district-scale exploration opportunity in Nevada's Jarbidge-Charleston tungsten area.
Further expanding its portfolio of U.S. tungsten assets, the company acquired a 100% interest in the past-producing Eagle Point Tungsten Mine in New Mexico. Additionally, Western Star submitted an application in response to a solicitation from the U.S. Defense Industrial Base Consortium concerning the supply of strategic critical minerals.
Blake Morgan, President and CEO of Western Star, stated, "Western Star has had a very active period, and we believe the recent developments are connected by one clear strategy: building a meaningful U.S.-focused tungsten platform around past-producing assets, modern exploration, and the growing need for reliable domestic critical mineral supply." He added that the company anticipates news regarding drill permits, maiden drill programs, and assay results from current exploration programs in the coming weeks.
At the Rowland property, Phase 1 exploration included UAV geophysics, soil geochemistry, rock-chip sampling, and field checking of historical workings. Results from the high-resolution UAV magnetic survey will be integrated with pending Phase 1 assay results to inform the design of a Phase 2 exploration program and refine potential drill targets.
The acquisition of the White Star Tungsten Project, with its historical tungsten-molybdenum skarn mineralization, allows Western Star to evaluate both Rowland and White Star as part of a larger district-scale exploration model. The proximity of these projects is expected to offer logistical and exploration efficiency advantages.
The Eagle Point Tungsten Mine acquisition in New Mexico provides exposure to another historical tungsten district with documented past production, surface mineralization, and untested exploration targets.
"Our goal is to move beyond isolated announcements and help shareholders see the larger picture," Mr. Morgan continued. "We are building a portfolio of past-producing tungsten assets in the United States, advancing modern exploration datasets, preparing for drill targeting, and positioning Western Star within the broader critical mineral’s discussion."
Western Star also announced the launch of its official Stocktwits account, @WesternStarResources, as a supplemental communication channel. The company intends to use Stocktwits to share news releases, public updates, interviews, and investor awareness content. This channel is intended to supplement, not replace, formal disclosure channels.
