Red Canyon Resources Expands Osiris Project with New Mineral Claims in British Columbia
Vancouver, British Columbia — August 6, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Red Canyon Resources Ltd. has announced the acquisition of 18 new mineral claims, totalling 11,722 hectares, which adjoin the Company’s existing 100% owned Osiris claims in central British Columbia. The acquisition has been confirmed by the British Columbia Mineral Titles Branch and brings Red Canyon’s total control within the Quesnellia Island Arc, a region known for copper and copper-gold mines, to 27,114 hectares.
The expanded claim area was targeted due to strong indicators of copper and copper-gold porphyry systems. Historical geophysical surveys, including airborne magnetics, IP, and ZTEM, along with soil and till geochemistry in the central portion of the new claims, have identified potential copper porphyry targets. Limited drilling has been conducted in this specific area.
Recently, Red Canyon completed eight diamond drill holes, totalling 2,079 metres, at the Camp target within the Osiris Project. This initial drilling suggests the Camp target hosts an alkalic copper-gold mineral system with geological similarities to the Mount Polley and Mount Milligan mines in British Columbia. Several high-priority targets, including Nautilus and EV, have been upgraded, with initial drilling plans now underway.
A truck-mounted auger drilling program is scheduled to begin in mid-August. This program is designed to collect more definitive geochemical data in areas associated with priority targets.
Wendell Zerb, Chairman and CEO of Red Canyon, stated, “We believe the Osiris area has excellent potential to host high-margin alkalic copper-gold systems. Based on this, we have expanded our mineral claims to the north at Osiris. We now control over 27,000 hectares in our Inzana Project. An excellent database consisting of previously completed airborne magnetics, IP geophysics, ZTEM geophysics and various geochemistry has outlined numerous never tested targets within our expanded claim area.”
Red Canyon’s project portfolio includes seven 100% owned projects in British Columbia and Nevada. Key projects are Kendal in west-central British Columbia, Inzana (Osiris and Acheron) in central British Columbia, and Scraper Springs in northeast Nevada.
The Osiris Project, now comprising 29 mineral claims totalling 20,839.7 hectares, is the northern portion of the Inzana project area. Located approximately 60 km northwest of Fort St. James, the project area benefits from access via primary and secondary forestry roads. Red Canyon also holds 26,575.2 hectares of 100% owned and royalty-free mineral claims within the Inzana project area. Additionally, the Company has entered into property option agreements to acquire a 100% interest in two mineral claims at Osiris and two at Acheron, totaling 539 hectares, for $48,000 payable over three years. These optioned claims are subject to a 1.25% net smelter return royalty, with an option to purchase the full royalty for $2 million.
The project area is situated within the Quesnellia island arc terrane, which hosts several of British Columbia’s major copper mines. The area is bound by the Pinchi Fault to the west and exhibits NE-SW cross-arc structures, identified as important pathways for porphyry deposit localization.
Historical work on the Osiris claim expansion, largely by Serengeti Resources from 2005 to 2011, included airborne magnetics, IP and ZTEM geophysics, and soil and till geochemistry, which identified potential copper porphyry targets. The new claim area lies along the southwestern margin of the Hogem Batholith, a significant intrusive complex known for its potential in porphyry exploration.
Red Canyon is prioritizing targets for initial exploration within this expanded area. The Company has conducted airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys and IP surveys on select target areas. Soil and till sampling programs have also been completed, with expanded targeted surveys currently underway. Plans for initial diamond drilling at high-priority targets like Nautilus and EV are set for September 2026. The auger drilling program, expected to commence in mid-August, aims to collect basal till samples and bedrock cuttings in road-accessible areas to gather more conclusive geochemical data.
