CVMR Corporation Launches Comprehensive Mineral Development Program in Central African Republic
Bangui, Central African Republic — October 30, 2026 — Leads & Copy — CVMR Corporation, through its subsidiary CVMR Centrafrique, has officially initiated a comprehensive program for mineral exploration, development, processing, and in-country refining within the Central African Republic (CAR). This initiative marks a significant advancement in the company's long-standing strategic alliance with the Government of the Central African Republic.
The program, led by His Excellency Professor Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, and the Minister of Mines and Geology, introduces a unique cooperation model between the government and an advanced metallurgical technology firm. This partnership, established for a duration of 25 years, aims to foster sustainable mineral development, industrialization, and enduring economic value.
During a press conference held on October 24, 2026, at the Ledger Plaza Hotel in Bangui, the program's central objective was presented: to enhance the domestic economic value derived from the country's mineral wealth. The strategy moves beyond the traditional export of raw materials towards local processing, advanced refining, and the production of high-value metals and precision-engineered, near-net-shape metal products.
CVMR is adopting a vertically integrated approach that covers geological identification, resource assessment, exploration, mining development, mineral processing, and advanced metallurgical refining. This integrated strategy is designed to build sustainable industrial capabilities, allowing the Central African Republic to retain a larger portion of the economic value generated from its mineral resources.
The company's proprietary vapor metallurgy and chemical vapor deposition technologies are key to producing high-purity metals, metal powders, nano-powders, advanced alloys, superalloys, and complex near-net-shape metal components. These technologies can be adapted to various mineral feedstocks, contingent upon detailed technical evaluations of deposit characteristics, mineralogy, processing needs, and commercial viability.
By combining mining operations with advanced refining and downstream manufacturing, CVMR aims to position the Central African Republic as a growing contributor to international critical mineral and advanced materials supply chains. The program's phased implementation will involve geological evaluation, resource quantification, technical and economic feasibility studies, project development, and industrial deployment.
The configuration and scale of processing and refining facilities will depend on mineral resource characteristics, infrastructure needs, energy availability, transportation logistics, financing, and overall project viability. CVMR has secured arrangements for its anticipated electricity needs from three diversified energy sources, ensuring a stable foundation for the planned mineral processing and refining infrastructure.
A crucial component of CVMR's initiative is the development of local technical expertise and industrial capacities. Establishing mineral processing and refining operations within the country is expected to generate skilled employment, vocational training, apprenticeships, technology transfer, and foster the growth of supporting industries throughout the mineral value chain. The program seeks to equip Central African professionals with the skills needed to participate directly in the nation's burgeoning mineral processing and advanced manufacturing sectors.
This initiative aligns with a global trend among mineral-producing nations to shift from exporting unprocessed natural resources to greater involvement in refining, advanced materials production, and downstream manufacturing. For the Central African Republic, developing domestic processing and refining capabilities presents an opportunity to increase internal economic value retention, strengthen industrial infrastructure, create employment, and enhance participation in global critical mineral supply chains. CVMR's long-term strategy also includes producing high-value, end-user metal products for strategic industries in Canada and the United States, including defense, aerospace, energy, electronics, and advanced manufacturing.
The program builds upon prior cooperation between CVMR and Central African Republic authorities in geological assessment, satellite-based mineral identification, and resource mapping. In December 2025, the Ministry of Defense authorized satellite-based geoscientific exploration and mineral cartography activities, supporting CVMR's assessment of the country's mineral potential. CVMR will continue its close collaboration with national authorities and stakeholders as the program progresses.
