Hi-View Resources Announces Preliminary 2026 Field Results from Borealis Project
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — August 6, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Hi-View Resources Inc. has announced preliminary 2026 field results from its Borealis Project, located in the Toodoggone Mining District of north-central British Columbia. The company completed 14 line-kilometres of induced polarization (IP) survey over the historical Cas showing, identifying five chargeability anomalies that suggest potential mineralized targets for future drilling.
Geological mapping and rock sampling in these areas revealed zoned alteration and localized copper mineralization, indicating a large-scale hydrothermal system. The Cas showing is situated approximately 10 kilometres northwest of Centerra Gold's former Kemess copper-gold mine. Hi-View plans to conduct three additional lines of IP survey to further define these targets.
Rock and soil samples collected during the 2026 Borealis surface program have been submitted to ALS Geochemistry Ltd., an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory in North Vancouver, B.C., for preparation and analysis. Sample integrity was maintained through secure field sealing, storage, and transport by Apex Geoscience Ltd. of Edmonton, Alberta, ensuring chain of custody.
R. Nick Horsley, Chief Executive Officer of Hi-View, stated that these findings support the hypothesis of a large hydrothermal system at Borealis, similar to those at Centerra's Kemess and Amarc's Joy projects. The company has increased the number of identified IP targets from two to five distinct chargeability and resistivity anomalies within the first weeks of its field season. The program has reproduced historical signatures, extended data to greater depths, uncovered a new anomaly with surface copper mineralization, and confirmed consistent porphyry-style alteration, bolstering confidence in the Borealis Project's potential for a significant discovery. Further analysis of pending assays, hyperspectral data, and imminent Mobile MT results will aid in delineating drill targets.
Key highlights from the preliminary results include the identification of five distinct strong-to-intense chargeability anomalies at Cas, an increase from the two identified by Placer Dome in 1992. The 2026 IP survey not only reproduced the two main historical chargeability zones but also extended sub-surface data to depths of 400 metres, defining a new high chargeability target at depth. Refined 2026 data indicate that the historical southern anomaly actually comprises three separate chargeability anomalies, one of which remains open at depth. A new high-chargeability zone, coincident with mapped surface copper mineralization, has been outlined southwest of the historical anomaly. Additionally, a strong-to-intense chargeability anomaly on Line 2600N is linked to mapped crystal lithic tuff showing quartz-clay-pyrite alteration and disseminated pyrite, also coinciding with low resistivity.
Historical background includes a 1984 drill campaign that did not intersect its intended target, and a 1992 IP survey that outlined two shallow, strong, high-chargeability zones at Cas, associated with pyritic clay alteration along the margin of a monzonitic intrusive body. This intrusive body produced a high-resistivity response typical of disseminated sulphide mineralization linked to copper porphyry systems.
Hi-View has also engaged Expert Geophysics Surveys Inc. to conduct a 1,042 line-kilometre Mobile MT (Magnetotellurics) Survey, a geophysical technology used to detect deep electrical conductivity and resistivity signatures of copper-gold porphyry systems, capable of mapping subsurface structures down to 2 km. This survey was completed this week, with results and interpretation pending.
