New Age Metals Enters MOU with Liberate Minerals to Explore Critical Minerals Refining Technology

Rockport, Ontario — June 24, 2026 — Leads & Copy — New Age Metals Inc. (TSXV: NAM; OTCQB: NMTLF; FSE: P7J.F) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Liberate Minerals Limited, an Australian company specializing in critical minerals and rare earths refining technology. The agreement aims to explore the potential application of Liberate Minerals' proprietary processing and refining technology to materials and data from New Age Metals' diverse portfolio of critical minerals projects.

The MOU outlines a framework for both companies to evaluate opportunities that could involve New Age Metals' lithium, rare metals, platinum group metals, gold-antimony, and other critical minerals assets. Liberate Minerals focuses on scalable and sustainable refining of critical minerals, including lithium and rare earth elements, using proprietary techniques to recover multiple high-value elements from a single source. Their Resource Maximisation Process (RMP) is described as a closed-loop, proprietary chemical refining process that operates at ambient temperature and pressure, recycling 98% of reagents and emphasizing chemistry over processing infrastructure.

Liberate Minerals was recognized for its low-emissions, high-efficiency critical minerals refining process, winning the Supercharge Australia Innovation Challenge #3 in November 2025. The collaboration under the MOU will commence with a preliminary technical review of selected mineralized materials and project information from New Age Metals' portfolio to assess the potential applicability of Liberate Minerals' technology.

Harry Barr, Chairman and CEO of New Age Metals, stated that the MOU provides a structure to explore whether Liberate's technology could enhance recoveries, reduce processing complexity, and increase the potential value of their mineral assets. He highlighted the importance of evaluating new technologies that align with the growing demand for secure, sustainable, and Western-aligned critical minerals supply chains.

New Age Metals possesses a diversified portfolio of precious and critical metals projects across North America. These include the River Valley Palladium Project in Ontario, the Manitoba Lithium Division, the Gold-Antimony Division in Newfoundland, the Kenora Gold and Critical Metals Division, the Ontario Ring of Fire Division, Thunder Bay PGM projects, and the Genesis PGM-Cu-Ni Project in Alaska. The selection and review of materials for the technical assessment will be managed by New Age Metals' technical services team, including Dr. Bill Stone, Ron Hieber, Gordon Chunnett, and Curt Freeman, with support from regional geoscience consultants and the Company's senior metallurgical consultant, Dave Salari.

Liberate Minerals Limited, based in Australia, is focused on developing mid-stream refining solutions for critical minerals and strengthening supply chains outside of China. Their technology aims to recover high-value elements like lithium, rare earth elements, rubidium, tantalum, niobium, and vanadium from various sources, including ores, concentrates, fines, and tailings.
