ABOUND Energy Secures Rights to Hydrogen Production Platform

Richmond, BC — May 7, 2026 — Leads & Copy —

ABOUND Energy Inc. (CSE: ABND) (FSE: 0E9) has secured global rights to an advanced hydrogen production platform through a Letter of Intent (LOI). The company is currently working on definitive agreements to establish the framework for deployment.

The hydrogen generation platform offers a differentiated approach through on-site, point-of-use production. This eliminates the need for transportation and centralized distribution. The technology has been validated independently by a third party.

The platform does not rely on fossil fuel inputs and produces no CO₂ during hydrogen generation. Initial deployment will focus on modular, commercial-scale systems. These systems are designed to deliver meaningful daily production within a compact footprint. Rapid integration across industrial facilities, fueling infrastructure, and decentralized energy environments will be possible. This also supports scalable expansion as demand grows.

ABOUND’s initial commercialization strategy is focused on North America. This phased approach will establish operational performance, validate commercial economics, and support expansion into additional international markets.

A central component of ABOUND’s strategy is the integration of this hydrogen platform with its Zaeras™ energy storage technology. Together, these technologies form a complementary system capable of extending energy availability and improving load balancing. This combined approach is expected to expand market reach by addressing both hydrogen production and energy storage within a unified deployment model.

The hydrogen platform is also expected to generate early-stage revenue that can be reinvested into the continued development and commercialization of Zaeras™, creating a structured pathway to scale while reducing reliance on external capital.

Keith Morlock, COO of ABOUND Energy Inc., said the platform changes how hydrogen is produced and delivered, removing the cost and constraints of traditional supply chains while improving reliability. He expects this initiative to begin generating revenue within six to twelve months from the closing of the financing. Morlock added that together, these technologies expand market reach and position ABOUND to deliver a complete energy solution.

ABOUND believes this initiative represents a step toward delivering an efficient, scalable, and economically viable hydrogen solution. Further updates will be provided as the parties progress toward execution of definitive agreements.

In addition, ABOUND has elected to rely on Coordinated Blanket Order 51-933 and move to semi-annual financial reporting (SAR). Under the SAR pilot program, the Company will be exempt from filing interim financial reports and related Management’s Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) for its first and third quarters. ABOUND’s fiscal year ends on December 31, 2026. The company will not file an interim report for the first quarter (Q1) ending Match 31, 2026, or the third quarter (Q3) ending September 30, 2026. ABOUND will continue to file audited annual financial statements (due within 120 days of December 31, 2026) and six-month interim financial reports (due within 60 days of June 30, 2026). ABOUND confirms it meets the pilot program's eligibility criteria, which include being a venture issuer with annual revenues of less than $10 million and maintaining a clean 12-month continuous disclosure record.

This news release is being filed pursuant to Coordinated Blanket Order 51 – 933 Exemptions to Permit Semi-Annual Reporting for Certain Venture Issuers.

ABOUND specializes in developing energy technology. Its patented Zaeras™ long-duration energy storage technology, leveraging zinc-air chemistry, guarantees the storage and on-demand delivery of electricity.

Zaeras™ is engineered to meet future energy requirements, with an emphasis on simplifying long-duration energy storage. Scaling up the energy capacity of Zaeras™ is as simple as increasing the size of the fuel tank; a cost-effective solution, from kWh to MWh.
