Opawica Explorations Inc. Outlines Next Major Exploration Phase at Arrowhead Gold Property

Vancouver, British Columbia — August 6, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Opawica Explorations Inc. (TSXV: OPW) (FSE: A2PEAD) (OTCQB: OPWEF) announced a comprehensive exploration update for its 100%-owned Arrowhead Gold Property in Québec, highlighting nearly a century of exploration, historical high-grade gold, modern drilling, advanced 3D modelling, and 25 high-priority targets poised for the next major exploration phase. The Company believes Arrowhead has reached a significant stage following years of geological compilation, geophysics, seismic surveying, artificial-intelligence-assisted targeting, and 3D geological modelling.

The upcoming exploration phase will focus on drilling, with a strategy for approximately 10,000 metres of high-priority drilling planned. Opawica holds drill permits for 25 drill-pad locations, intended to systematically test priority targets generated from extensive modern geological datasets. The program aims to test the continuity, extensions, and potential depth of known gold mineralization.

Arrowhead is situated in an established Québec mining district, adjacent to properties held by Agnico Eagle Mines Limited, including the producing LaRonde Complex, which has yielded over eight million ounces of gold since 1988. Opawica points to Arrowhead's combination of historical high-grade gold occurrences, extensive workings, drill-confirmed mineralization, comprehensive datasets, numerous untested targets, existing permits, and its location within a producing gold district as a compelling exploration opportunity. The company cautions that mineralization on adjacent properties is not necessarily indicative of mineralization at Arrowhead.

The Arrowhead property is described as more than an early-stage conceptual project, with exploration dating back approximately a century. Historical exploration included prospecting, trenching, pitting, underground workings, diamond drilling, geological mapping, and sampling of multiple mineralized structures, primarily focused on shear zones with quartz-carbonate veins containing free gold. Historical gold values reported include approximately 45.05 g/t Au, with chip sampling as high as approximately 90.75 g/t Au over 1.0 metre. Additional historical information identified numerous gold-copper mineralized zones across the property, though Opawica notes these historical results have not necessarily been independently verified and should not be considered indicative of future results.

What distinguishes Arrowhead currently is the substantial modern geological information layered over the historical mineralized system. Opawica completed its inaugural modern diamond-drill program in 2022, which involved 4,306 metres of drilling across 14 holes, with 1,590 rock samples submitted for assay and 13 drill targets tested. This program successfully confirmed gold mineralization across the property, with 11 drill holes intersecting gold zones grading greater than 1.0 g/t Au along an approximately one-kilometre strike length.

Selected results from the 2022 drilling include 18.7 g/t Au over 0.35 metres with 0.72% Cu in hole AR-22-01, and 1.52 g/t Au over 14.8 metres in AR-22-04, with broader anomalous gold zones extending up to approximately 29.5 metres. The reported intervals represent core lengths, and true widths have not necessarily been determined. The drilling identified gold mineralization in two principal geological settings: shear zones with quartz-carbonate-tourmaline veins in mafic volcanic rocks, and mineralized felsic tuffs with quartz-tourmaline veining. Notably, nine target zones associated with the 2022 campaign remained untested, and the next phase is designed to test for scale.
