Total Metals Announces Promising Assay Results from Menary Gold Property Exploration

TORONTO, ON — August 19, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Total Metals Corp. announced assay results from its initial property mapping and sampling program at its Menary Gold Property in Northwestern Ontario, which has validated the high-grade nature of the property. The program focused on the Galbraith 'A' and Wagg zones, collecting 83 grab samples, over 50% of which were mineralized. A standout sample returned 31.7 g/t of gold with visible gold.

Executive Chairman Michael Dehn stated that these results confirm the robust nature of the gold system and that the company is now working to establish property-scale structural controls to define high-priority targets for an upcoming drill program. Permit preparation for drilling is also underway.

Previous exploration by other operators identified four high-grade gold showings at Menary: Galbraith “A”, Wagg, New Shear, and Road zones. Historical exploration was concentrated in these areas, with the most advanced work, including trenching, channel sampling, and drilling, conducted at the Galbraith “A” and Wagg zones. Historical grab samples from previous operators at the Galbraith “A” zone returned values up to 8,120 g/t gold, and samples from the Wagg zone reached up to 186.5 g/t gold.

A field crew from Bayside Geoscience Inc. completed a six-day initial field campaign to confirm the orientation of known vein zones and previous sampling, as well as to evaluate trends in government geophysics and satellite imagery to guide subsequent exploration phases. The crew collected 83 grab samples of quartz vein and altered rock material. Of these, 55% were noted to be mineralized with sulphides or gossanous. Two quartz vein samples contained visible gold.

Significant results from the current sampling program include 31.7 g/t gold from the Galbraith “A” Zone, 9.61 g/t from the Wagg Zone, 6.42 g/t from Galbraith “A”, and 3.46 g/t from the Wagg Zone. Of the two samples with visible gold, only one returned a significant gold value of 31.7 g/t Au from Galbraith “A”. The other sample from Galbraith “A” assayed 0.21 g/t Au.

Total Metals plans to complete a high-resolution drone airborne magnetic survey over the property in 2026, similar to a survey conducted at its High Lake Gold property which identified high-potential gold exploration targets. The company will also complete a Phase 2 field program with further sampling and mapping, including more rigorous channel sampling, to identify priority drill targets. Additionally, a comprehensive advanced exploration permit for drilling and expanded surface trenching will be submitted.

The company noted that grab samples are from selective rock sampling and are not necessarily representative of the mineralization hosted on the property as a whole, but are indicative of the presence of mineralization. Regarding historical grab samples, Total Metals has reviewed historical records and believes the information reasonably substantiates the validity of the data, though the company cannot directly verify the accuracy of historical procedures for sample collection and analysis.

Mapping and sampling were carried out by Bayside Geoscience Inc. Rock samples were analyzed by AGAT Laboratories Ltd. in Thunder Bay and Calgary. Samples exceeding 10 g/t Au were re-assayed using gravimetric and metallic screen methods.

The 275.6-hectare Menary property is optioned from Destroismaisons CLM Holdings Corporation, with Total Metals having the potential to earn 100% interest. Robert Penczak, M.Sc., P.Geo, Vice President of Exploration for Total Metals, has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this news release.

Total Metals Corp. is focused on developing and advancing its high-grade gold and critical mineral assets in Eastern Canada. The company's portfolio includes the Electrolode Project, the High Lake and West Hawk Lake Projects, and the Menary gold property, as well as the recently added Pick Lake property.
