Brossard, Québec - TheNewswire - February 5, 2026 — Windfall Geotek Inc. (CSE: WIN; OTCQB: WINKF) ("Windfall" or the "Company"), a leader in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning for mineral discovery since 2005, is pleased to announce the successful modeling and extraction of the geophysical and geochemical "digital signature" for the Strange Lake Rare Earth Element (REE) Deposit.
Utilizing its proprietary AI platform, Windfall has completed an extensive computational analysis of entire publicly datasets to fingerprint the signature of the REE Strange Lake deposit, currently held by Torngat Metals https://torngatmetals.com/ on the provincial border between the Canadian provinces of Québec (QC) and Newfoundland and Labrador (NL).
Technical Summary & Methodology
The project focused on the Strange Lake complex, situated on the provincial border between Québec (QC) and Newfoundland and Labrador (NL). Key technical highlights include:
-
Data Integration: The AI system synthesized multi-dimensional public datasets, including high-resolution magnetics and topography data, alongside with available drillholes and surficial rock samples geochemistry.
-
Signature Extraction: By isolating the specific geological descriptors of the Strange Lake REE mineralization, the Company has established a high-fidelity Digital Discovery Pattern.
-
Target Generation: This proprietary signature was deployed across the regional land package to identify high-probability anomalies, resulting in the strategic expansion of the Company’s exploration footprint in the region.
"The ability to reverse-engineer a digital signature from a known world-class deposit using exclusively public data validates the predictive power of our AI. This objective approach minimizes human bias and significantly reduces the search space for our next phase of exploration."
The Power of Digital Exploration
Using its proprietary AI System in combination with a strong historical exploration database and SIGEOM data covering 13, 682 km², Windfall identified 5 high-priority REE target zones in December 2025.
Windfall’s AI System analyzed more than 2,519 historical REE bearing assays (mostly in the Strange Lake deposit) using advanced machine-learning algorithms designed to recognize geological patterns and contexts associated with mineralization. In total, 5 473 252 cells measuring 50m x 50m, were evaluated by the Windfall AI System. This data-driven approach significantly decreases exploration time and costs when compared to traditional exploration methodologies.

Michel Fontaine, President and CEO of Windfall Geotek, commented:
“Our new Hybrid AI-Services model marks a strategic breakthrough, proving that mineral exploration has officially entered the digital era. By maintaining our core client services while simultaneously applying our technology across 10 distinct projects—whether owned by Windfall or our partners—we are demonstrating the unrivaled accuracy of our predictive modeling. The efficiency of our system remains a massive competitive advantage: we recently processed a 13,682 Square km area, reducing the search zone by 99% to isolate a digital signature matching the Strange Lake Rare Earth deposit. As I have consistently stated, while revenue is vital, the true enterprise value of Windfall lies in our targets. We are transforming raw data into high-value assets and are now moving to get boots on the ground to validate these 10 targets immediately."
