Horetzky is Fully Funded and Drill-Ready as Northern Lights Evaluates Partner Interest

Northern Lights Resources Corp

Vancouver, BC – TheNewswire - October 6, 2026 – Northern Lights Resources Corp. (CSE: NLR) (OTC: NLRCF) (FSE: 0ZH0) (“Northern Lights” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce an update on the Horetzky Copper Project (“Horetzky” or the “Project”) in British Columbia’s Babine Porphyry Belt. With the completion of follow-up soil and rock sampling over two untested targets, the Company has finished its pre-drill work at Horetzky. Permits are in place, targets are defined from the integrated 2026 geophysical and geochemical datasets, and the Company is fully funded and ready to drill.

Luka Capin, Interim CEO of Northern Lights, commented: “We are delighted with how Horetzky has progressed into one of the most exciting copper exploration land packages assembled in British Columbia. Our model points to compelling new targets with the potential for size and scale beneath the historical shallow drilling. The work completed gives us a full understanding of the project, and the next step is simple: drill test the best targets in this prime porphyry copper district. Being fully funded puts us in a position of strength. We can drill Horetzky ourselves, or bring in a partner on the right terms, and we will choose the option that maximizes value for shareholders.”

The Company believes it has demonstrated that Horetzky has significant potential to become a sizeable copper porphyry in British Columbia’s Babine Porphyry Belt. To that end, the Company has received interest from numerous parties regarding potential collaboration opportunities, which the Company is evaluating. No agreement has been reached, and there can be no assurance that any transaction will result.

Earlier in 2026, the Company completed the sale of its 1% Net Smelter Return (“NSR”) royalty on the Medicine Springs Silver Project in Nevada to a subsidiary of Torex Gold Resources Inc. for US$2.2 million, and completed shares-for-debt settlements, strengthening its balance sheet.

2026 Exploration Program Overview

In September 2026, Company crews completed follow-up sampling over two anomalies. The North target extends the copper soil anomalies from previous surface geochemistry some 400m NW and remains open along strike. The West target is defined by an isolated topographic high, which has been previously shown to be caused by erosion-resistant silicification in the lithocap zone. Both targets are spatially coincident with strongly magnetic rocks and electromagnetic conductivity anomalies indicative of an underlying intrusion. In total, 112 soil samples and 4 rock samples were collected and delivered to ALS Canada Ltd. in Terrace, BC, for preparation and geochemical analysis. Results will be reported once they have been received, compiled and reviewed by the Company.

The sampling completes the Company’s 2026 technical program at Horetzky, which included an airborne MobileMT survey flown by Expert Geophysics and completed in May 2026, followed by the integration of the MobileMT resistivity inversion with the Company’s 3D aeromagnetic susceptibility model, and a modern inversion of historical IP/resistivity data, as described in the Company’s August 31, 2026 news release. Together with the results of the 2025 field program, these datasets have been used to define and rank drill targets.

Next Steps

Horetzky is now drill-ready. The Project holds a five-year Multi-year area-based (MYAB) exploration permit authorizing the drilling of up to 100 holes, the Company is ready to execute its first drill program at Horetzky, designed to test both the overlying lithocap and deep porphyry targets beneath and adjacent to the historical drilling. Drilling is expected to commence in H1 2027.

Overview of the Horetzky Project

The Horetzky Copper Project covers 5,057 hectares in British Columbia’s Babine Porphyry Belt. The Project has a five-year Multi-year area-based (MYAB) exploration permit authorizing exploration activities including geophysical surveying, trenching and the drilling of up to 100 holes.

The Babine porphyry belt is an arc volcanic- and sedimentary belt which has been intruded by Eocene age diorite to granodiorite porphyries. The Babine belt is well-endowed with porphyry-style and related Cu-Ag and Mo mineralization, including the past-producing Bell and Granisle copper mines, and advanced exploration projects including Nak operated by American Eagle Gold Corp., (American Eagle) and the Duke district, operated by Amarc Resources Ltd. (Amarc).

The Horetzky project covers The Mt. Horetzky Porphyry, which was first explored in 1965 by Falconbridge using modern exploration methods. The Hecla Operating Company followed Falconbridge, and drilled 8 diamond drill holes based on surface geochemistry and geophysics, and encountered typical porphyry-style Cu mineralization. A series of small exploration programs were conducted by several operators (Rio Algom, CJL Enterprises, Volatus Capital) with encouraging results.
